What to Expect on the Day of the Event

 

Wheelin’ for a Cure Event 2016

Registration will be from 8:00am to 9:15am at Beech Point Christian Camp, 3212 125th Avenue, Allegan, MI 49010.  Pre Ordered breakfast offered $5.00, scrambled eggs, 3 pancakes, bacon, juice, milk, coffee. This will be available to pre order until Sept. 20th.  Trail leaders will be leaving every 15 minutes starting at 8:20.  You may go out by yourself if you prefer.  Everyone needs to be out on the route by 9:30.  There will multiple routes available for vehicles of all levels. You can “CHOOSE YOUR CRUISE” from either “BRICKS OR STICKS”. Cruise around historical sites via paved roads or cruise the woods by trail. No matter what you prefer the “5th Annual Wheelin’ for a Cure” has it all. Every paid participant will receive 1 Door Prize Ticket and you will be furnished with a map of the route. The route and lunch will take you approximately 5 to 6 hours depending on how often you stop.  Please take your time, this is not a race.  The route will be thru the Allegan State Forest area on seasonal roads and can be dusty.  Please keep an eye out for Horses on the route and pass them carefully.    A BBQ lunch will be provided for you at the Little John Park from 11:30 to 2:00.  Everyone will need to be back by 3:30 for the Door Prize Raffle.

There is also a Self-Guided Historic Route available around Allegan County. This is on paved roads except for a 1 mile section of a well maintained dirt road. You will have a game to play to earn extra door prize tickets You will also meet up with the trail riders at Little John Park for a Free BBQ lunch and Everyone will meet back for door prizes by 3:30.

There is a Lunch ONLY option available. $10.00 – Adults, $5.00 – Children.  Please pre- register for this online or by check.    You will be able to buy door prize tickets and participate in the other drawings and games available back at the starting location.  You will not receive any free door prize tickets or be able to participate in the “I spy game or find the hand game” for extra tickets.

Club Challenge:  There is a club challenge to see which club/ FB group brings the most members to the event.  The first and second place clubs/FB group will receive extra Door Prize Tickets.   There is also a prize for the club/FB group that brings the highest financial donation.   These both need to be registered for in the morning before the trail ride begins.

You will be given an “I Spy Sheet” with clues to a few special spots on the route and “Find the Hand Game” sheet.  Find these and mark them on your sheets and turn them in to get extra door prize tickets. When you get back there will be games (with prizes) for everyone to play from approx  1:00 to 2:45ish.  There will also be a couple other opportunities to earn door prize tickets along the way.  There will be a money machine at the lunch spot to play for prizes and candy.  There will be a fee to play the machine.

Other activities to expect will include a 50/50 drawing and a raffle for a 10lb Tank Air System.   Wheelin’ for a Cure 2017 stickers will also be for sale.   You may purchase additional raffle tickets for $5.00 and there will be a very limited amount of T-shirts for sale at the event. T-shirt’s may be pre-ordered with your online registration or paper registration form until Sept 5th.  Every Driver that registers before Sept 5th will receive a free T-Shirt.   So please register early!
